Dekton

Catalogue · Dekton by Cosentino

A hot pan straight off the hob, a sharp knife, the midday sun on the terrace — Dekton stands up to all of them. Cosentino sinters mineral raw materials under heat and very high pressure into an ultra-compact slab that contains no resin and is practically non-porous. Our range includes 27 Dekton stones with public prices from 186 €/m², and before you decide you can see them at our Noblessner showroom.

Who it suits

When Dekton is the right choice

Dekton is at its best where a surface takes a lot of heat, light and hard work. If you’re torn between Dekton and quartz, come to the showroom and feel them for yourself.

Dekton suits you if

  • hot pans and oven dishes go straight from the hob or oven onto the worktop
  • your kitchen continues onto the terrace — sun doesn’t change Dekton’s colour and frost does it no harm
  • you want a thin slab and a light, contemporary edge line
  • you want a surface that oil and beetroot juice can’t soak into and that never needs sealing

Consider another material if

  • heavy pots get banged around and knocks on the edge are likely — engineered quartz is more forgiving at the edge
  • you want a massive, thick slab with no joint at the edge — Dekton’s thicker look is created with a mitred corner joint
  • you’re after a one-of-a-kind stone made by nature — look at granite and marble

Colours and finishes

Three looks, two finishes

Dekton comes in concrete, natural stone and marble looks, finished either matt or polished. If the colour you want isn’t in the catalogue, just ask: we have 100+ stones in stock and nearly 600 more within a week’s delivery.

Concrete look

A calm, industrial surface that suits plain fronts and a minimalist kitchen. A matt finish brings out the character of concrete best.

Natural stone look

Surfaces with the pattern and texture of stone formed in nature, minus the sealing natural stone needs and the worry about stains.

Marble look

Veined surfaces in the spirit of classic marble. Unlike real marble, they won’t be etched into dull patches by lemon juice or vinegar.

Matt finish

A matt surface doesn’t reflect light, so the colour looks soft. On a dark matt surface fingerprints show more easily, but a damp cloth takes them off.

Polished finish

Gloss gives colour and pattern depth and reflects the kitchen lighting. Water drops and dust show in the reflection too, so give it a wipe a little more often.

In practice

Dekton in the kitchen, day in, day out

Heat and sun

You can set a hot pan straight down on the worktop: Dekton has no resin to darken in the heat or change colour in the sun. That’s why the same stone works on a terrace too.

Knives and scratches

The surface is harder than a knife blade, so ordinary kitchen work won’t scratch it. Cut directly on the slab and it’s the knife that goes blunt — here a chopping board protects the blade, not the stone.

The edge needs care

Dekton’s most sensitive spot is its edge: a hard knock from a heavy pot can break a small piece off. We grind a slight chamfer on the edge and make the cut-outs on the CNC machine at our own factory in Patika, near Tallinn.

Thin slab, level base

Dekton is usually thinner than a quartz slab and needs an even, level base — we check that your cabinets are level as early as the measuring visit. A thicker look comes from a mitred corner joint, which carries the pattern onto the edge.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Dekton worktop cost?

In our catalogue Dekton starts at 186 €/m² (VAT included), and the exact price is shown openly on every stone’s product card. The kitchen total also depends on the edge detail: a mitred corner joint that gives a thicker look takes more work than a simple ground chamfer. You’ll see the exact amount in the quote, which we prepare within 24 hours on working days.

Does Dekton need any special care?

No. Oil, coffee and beetroot juice don’t soak into the dense ceramic, so a damp cloth and ordinary washing-up liquid keep it clean, and it never needs sealing. Even stronger household cleaners won’t harm Dekton. On a polished surface, though, leave the abrasive scourer aside so the shine stays even.

Is the edge of Dekton vulnerable to knocks?

Yes, that is the material’s main weakness. The surface withstands heat, scratches and chemicals, but a heavy cast-iron pan striking an edge or corner can chip it. That’s why the edge gets a slight chamfer, the cut-outs are made on a CNC machine and the slab is installed on an even base so it isn’t under stress. On some colours the pattern is on the surface only, so it’s best to choose the edge profile together with the stone.

How does Dekton differ from quartz?

In engineered quartz, resin holds the quartz grains together; Dekton has no resin — its mineral raw materials are sintered together under heat and pressure. That leads to the key differences: Dekton takes direct heat and sunlight and works outdoors too, while quartz is more forgiving of knocks at the edge and is most commonly 20 mm thick, whereas Dekton is usually thinner. If hot pans and an outdoor kitchen aren’t deciding factors for you, browse our quartz catalogue as well.

Where can I see Dekton before I decide?

In Noblessner, at our showroom at Vesilennuki 20. You can see how the pattern runs across the surface, feel the matt and polished finishes and look at what the edge of a slab is like; the most popular colours are on display as full slabs, the rest as samples and full-size photos. Book a time in advance and tell us which stones you’re interested in, and we’ll have them out for your visit.
