You receive drawings with every dimension and cut-out marked. Only once you have approved them does the slab go for cutting.

Production and installation
In Patika the slab is cut on the saw, edged on the edge machine, given its cut-outs on the CNC and finished by hand. Our own crew then installs it and, if you wish, takes the old worktop away.

The usual worktop headaches, such as a cut-out in the wrong spot, a joint where you did not want one or an edge that will not sit flush, tend to appear when one firm measures, another cuts and a third installs. We keep the whole chain in-house: the measurer works with a laser, you approve the drawings, the factory cuts exactly to them, and the installers know how the slab left the factory.
Edge profiles, cut-outs for the sink, hob and sockets, and the position of any joints are all settled before cutting, so installation day holds no surprises.

About measuring and installation
Is measuring a separate line in the quote?
Yes. Material, edge work, cut-outs, measuring, transport and installation each get their own line, and the terms for measuring are written into the quote. You see the full total before the stone is cut.
What should I have ready before the measuring visit?
Your kitchen units need to be in their final position and level, with the sink and hob (or their dimension drawings) to hand. The measurer takes laser measurements and goes through edges, joints and cut-outs with you. Afterwards the drawings come to you for approval.
How long does installation take, and what happens to the old worktop?
A typical kitchen is usually fitted in a single day. Taking out and removing your old worktop can be added to the quote as its own line; just mention it in your enquiry.
Can I order the stone without installation?
Yes, we supply without fitting as well. Bear in mind that the 10-year warranty on the stone surface applies when Stoneks measures, supplies and installs; on supply-only orders the warranty covers the material.
