Ceramic stone · Laminam
Laminam is an Italian ceramic whose series echo the veining of marble, the surface of natural stone and the calm tone of concrete. Our ceramic stone catalogue has 44 Laminam stones with public prices from 224 €/m², 12 or 20 mm thick. You can touch the surfaces at our Noblessner showroom, and the whole job — measuring, cutting and installation — is in the hands of one team.
Series
The Laminam series in our catalogue
The name points the way; you’ll find the finish and thickness on each stone’s card. When you book, list the stones you want to see and we’ll tell you which of them are on display as full slabs at the showroom.
I Naturali
The series carries the names of famous marbles and stones: Calacatta Michelangelo, Calacatta Oro Venato, Statuario Altissimo, Bianco Lasa, Emperador Extra and Nero Greco. Most of them are listed with a polished surface.
Stone texture
The Pietra di Savoia Bocciardata stones have a brushed surface; in Italian the name refers to stone dressed with a bush hammer. Pietra Piasentina and Pietra di Cardoso from the In-Side series are matt and carry the names of Italian natural stones.
Calce
A concrete-like brushed surface in shades from white Bianco and ivory Avorio to grey Grigio, dark grey Antracite and black Nero. It suits a minimalist kitchen where the worktop doesn’t need to demand attention with a pattern.
Solid colour
Collection Bianco Assoluto is a polished white and Nero Assoluto a matt black, both without pattern. They suit a kitchen whose look comes from the fronts and the light, not from the stone.
Ossido
Ossido Bruno, Ossido Nero and Ossido Verderame are matt, dark stones in brown, black and green. A good choice when the kitchen needs a deep tone without shine.
Polished statement stones
Cristallo Gold, Diamond Calacatta Black, FluidoSolido Blu and Verde Alpi are glossy stones for an island or bar top that is meant to stand out in the room.
Surface and edge
Book Match, finish and thickness
Book Match on an island
The Book Match version is a pair of slabs whose veins are mirror images of each other. Joined together, they create a symmetrical figure in the middle that suits the end of a kitchen island, the centre of the wall behind the hob or a bathroom wall. On the drawing we fix where the axis of symmetry falls.
Polished, matt or brushed
Polished Laminam reflects light and deepens the veining, a matt surface is calm and hides water drops, and a brushed surface has a light texture you can feel with your fingertips. The catalogue has all three.
12 or 20 mm
All our Laminam stones are available 12 mm thick, and many in 20 mm as well. The thinner slab suits a light kitchen and walls; the thicker one gives a worktop weight even without an edge joint.
Edge and corner
The body of the slab often shows in the cut edge and can differ from the surface, so we go through the edge profile together with the stone. A slight chamfer protects the edge; a mitred corner joint carries the veining over the corner.

Laminam is a good idea if
- you want the look of Italian marble without marble’s sensitivity to acid and its sealing
- the worktop, splashback and island should share one material and one pattern
- the dish from the oven reaches the worktop before the trivet does
- you dream of an island with veins mirrored symmetrically down the middle

Frequently asked questions
How is the price of a Laminam worktop worked out?
Laminam stones start at 224 €/m² in our catalogue, but prices vary between series and each stone’s exact price is on its card. The kitchen total also depends on the thickness (12 or 20 mm), edge work, cut-outs, transport and installation. A Book Match pair needs two matched slabs and can use more material — you’ll see this in the quote before you order.
Which Laminam surface should I choose for a kitchen island?
For an island seen from every side, an I Naturali marble pattern works well, or a Book Match pair whose veins mirror each other from the joint. If the island doubles as a dining table, go for a matt or brushed finish, as fingerprints and water drops show less than on a polished surface. Make the decision at the showroom in front of a sample and a full-size photo: a large pattern feels different in a room than on a screen.
Does Laminam need sealing?
No. Laminam is a ceramic that doesn’t absorb liquid, so coffee, oil and red wine come off with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. A soft brush lifts dirt out of the small hollows in brushed and Bocciardata surfaces. Ceramic isn’t afraid of chemicals, but for everyday cleaning you don’t need anything strong.
How is a Laminam worktop installed, and how long does it take?
Measurement within a week: we laser-measure the room and draw the slabs with their joints, cut-outs and edge profile — for a Book Match pair, also where the axis of symmetry falls. Installation 10 working days from drawing approval; the cutting and grinding happen within that time at our factory in Patika. 10-year warranty on the stone surface when Stoneks measures, delivers and installs.
Laminam or Dekton — which should I choose?
Both are ceramic: hot pans, sun and scratches do them no harm, neither needs sealing, and with both it pays to avoid knocks to the edge. The difference lies in the maker and the range. Laminam is an Italian brand whose stones in our catalogue are 12 or 20 mm thick; Dekton is made by Spain’s Cosentino and is also listed in thinner and thicker versions. Starting prices: Laminam from 224 €/m², Dekton from 186 €/m².
