Next to white oak or pale birch, a black granite top creates a strong, classic contrast. Nero Africa comes from South Africa and can be ordered polished, for depth and shine, or matt, for a softer, contemporary feel.
Granite tolerates heat and needs occasional sealing; the matt version shows fingerprints a little more, the polished one shows water spots, so dry either after cleaning. Thickness choices: 20 or 30 mm.
