If your floor is timber and your cabinets are painted in a muted green or cream, a brown worktop ties the two together. Caesarstone Woodlands supplies that brown in an engineered quartz made in Israel, at 20 or 30 mm.
Brown quartz is forgiving in daily use: crumbs and splashes show far less than they would on white, and since the slab is non-porous, nothing soaks in. Use a trivet for anything straight off the hob.
