Matt brown and brushed brass are old friends, and Technistone Decore Ocra makes the pairing easy: a brown quartz with no shine to compete with the metal. Production is Czech, and the slab comes 20 or 30 mm thick.
A matt surface softens daylight and hides small smudges, while the quartz underneath keeps liquids out, so sealing never comes into it. Treat hot cookware with a trivet and clean with a damp microfibre cloth.
