Pans get dragged, not lifted, in most kitchens. On Dekton Bergen that habit does little harm: the polished grey sintered surface from Spain resists scratching far better than most worktop materials, and heat from the pan does not mark it either.
It absorbs nothing, so there is no sealing. The 20 mm slab suits worktops and bathroom tops, 12 mm the walls, and it can also form indoor window sills. Knives are the exception to its toughness – they lose their edge – so use a board.
