Soft touch is Laminam’s name for a matt, velvety finish, and on Statuario Altissimo it changes how the white surface behaves in daylight. Where a polished top would bounce the light from a big window back into your eyes, this one spreads it evenly across the counter.
The matt surface also hides the small water spots that show on gloss. Underneath, it is still sintered ceramic, so heat and spills do it no harm and sealing is never required. Fingertip marks can show on matt finishes, but they come off with a damp microfibre cloth.
