Catalogue · Terrazzo

Terrazzo began on Italian floors, where stone chips were set in a binder and ground smooth. Today’s terrazzo slab brings the same speckled pattern to the kitchen worktop, the bathroom vanity top and the windowsill. And the pattern doesn’t stop at the surface — it runs right through the slab. Our catalogue has [stx_kivide_arv cat="terrazzo"] terrazzo slabs from [stx_alates cat="terrazzo"] €/m²; the Italian Terrazzo slabs are matt and 20 mm thick.
Pattern
The names Carrara, Verde Alpi and Grigio Carnico are borrowed from famous Italian marbles. The size and density of the stone chips vary from slab to slab, so judge the pattern from a full-size photo rather than a small piece.

Terrazzo Calacatta and Terrazzo Carrara are white slabs that liven up a light kitchen without letting the pattern take over the room.

Grigio Carnico and Fior di Pesco are grey terrazzos that sit comfortably next to concrete, black metal and oak.

Perlato Royal and Breccia Oniciata are beige and warm, Verde Alpi green. The green tone brings a white or grey kitchen to life and also suits a bathroom vanity top.

Who it suits
Terrazzo is a playful material: it either brings a room to life or becomes too busy. At the showroom you’ll find out which will happen in yours.

In practice
Because the stone chips are mixed through the full thickness of the slab, a straight, chamfered or rounded edge looks just like the surface. There’s no need for a mitred corner joint to get a thicker look — the Terrazzo slabs in our catalogue are 20 mm thick.

A matt finish doesn’t reflect lamplight or show fingerprints as clearly as a glossy surface. Ordinary washing-up liquid is enough for a greasy spot.

The composite’s binder isn’t designed for direct heat, so lift hot pans onto a trivet. Cut bread and vegetables on a chopping board, and the matt surface will stay even.

The speckled pattern hides a joint well, so a long worktop or kitchen island is easy to make in terrazzo. We cut the sink and hob openings on the CNC machine at our factory in Patika, near Tallinn.

Ordering
Judge the size and colour of the stone chips from a sample and a full-size photo — book a showroom visit for that.
Vesilennuki 20
Send the measurements of your kitchen or bathroom — we reply with a quote listing the slab, cut-outs and installation separately.
Quote within 24 hours on working days
From the laser-measured room we draw the worktop and send you the drawings to look over.
Measurement within a week
Lifetime warranty on the stone surface when Stoneks measures, delivers and installs. The cutting is done at the Patika factory, and our own team installs.
Installation 10 working days from drawing approval

Price and comparison
Starting price per square metre of the terrazzo slabs in our catalogue.

Engineered quartz with a terrazzo pattern in its Taurus series.

When the surface has to take hot pans and sunlight.

The natural stone that terrazzo borrowed its names from.

The price of terrazzo per square metre covers the slab only. Sink and hob cut-outs, the edge profile, delivery and installation each have their own line in the quote, and the total is clear before production. If you like, spread the cost with an LHV furnishing loan; the fabrication price list is on a separate page.
Summary
Terrazzo is a composite slab whose speckled pattern comes from stone chips set in a binder and runs through the entire slab.
